We just had a branch-wide re-org. In the shuffle, I landed the coolest. new. job.
New title: Digital Media Strategist.
New boss: P.
New tasks: still getting sorted.
But P. said I should think about my learning plan, and planted the best seed: did-I-want-to-start-a-web-2.0-blog-to-help-me-learn?
Ummmmm…. Yes? Please?
So this blog is part of my learning plan. In it, I’ll be figuring out who’s who is the government Blog-o-sphere, what they are doing, talking about, and making happen.
P. suggested that I focus on my professional duties – that mode of social media use that incorporates knowledge sharing, collaboration and networking with peers.
Which, of course, begs the question, who are my online peers?
So that’s my focus. At least to start. Figuring out the lay-of-the-land and reporting back to you every week. Maybe you’ll be interested too and we’ll start a branch wide conversation. Maybe not.
P. would call that the Spaghetti test. I like that idea.
Next time: Virtuous Scheming: A guide for public servants
off to a nice start!
Thanks! Great day!
I can’t wait to learn about “Virtuous Scheming”… love the blog so far, Lee-Anne!
